There’s something about Chiang Mai that made us fall in love with the city. The whole vibe there is very different to Bangkok because its a lot calmer and the pace is a lot slower. Also the fact that there aren’t as many tourists in Chiang mai as there are in Bangkok always helps haha. We stayed in Chiang Mai at Bodhi Serene Hotel for two nights and honestly, we wished we stayed for longer.
The hotel is situated in the old city of Chiang Mai and is within walking distance to many of the temples and attractions in Chiang Mai, which is essential when we are travelling. The hotel is on three floors which therefore has a cosy and intimate feeling.
We were shown to our room which was on the second floor and we fell in love with the interior because of the Thai style of the room. Our room had a balcony which overlooked the garden of the hotel and the bathroom was very spacious with a large shower and jacuzzi style bath. Complimentary bottled water is provided with the cutest jackets!
After checking out the room, it was time to check out the pool! The pool is located on the second floor next to the bar restaurant. It was the perfect spot for some relaxing time.
Breakfast is located in the restaurant next to the garden and is a buffet style with a egg cooking station. We started the day with our bellies full and happy. We were ready to get our explore on!
We spent the days exploring the beautiful temples and evenings at the night markets in Chiang Mai. Bodhi Serene was the perfect base for exploring Chiang Mai and a great place to relax in between. We had a wonderful stay at Bodhi Serene and certainly do hope to return soon.
